Steven Paul Jobs
Biography
Steven  Paul  Jobs  (short:  Steve  Jobs)  is  a  Cofounder
and  the  CEO  (Chief  Executive  Officer)  of  Apple  Inc
which  is  a  company  for  computers,  entertainment
electronics  and  application  software.  Steve  Jobs  is
one of the most influential persons in the IT-Branch.
He  was  born  at  the  end  of  February  1955  (24
th

February 1955). His unmarried parents who were two
students  at  that  time  had  problems  to  care  for  him
and gave Steve up for adoption. His new parents were
Paul Jobs and Clara Jobs. Two years later they adopted a girl named Patty. Steve Jobs
grew  up  in  Mountain  View,  a  small  town  in  Silicon  Valley,  California.  He  was  so
intelligent that he skipped a class and felt superior over the other children. He wasn’t
interested in the things the others in his age did. The older he got the more interesting
was  electronic  for  him.  After  he  visited  the  “Homestead  High  School”  he  moved  to
Portland to study at “Reed Collage”. But after only one semester he stopped because
he  wanted  to  travel  with  another  student  with  the  name  Daniel  Kottke  to  India
because  both  were  interested  in  the  hippie  movement.  In  1974  he  moved  back  to
California  to  his  parents  and  started  to  work  as  developer  for  games  at  Atari  and
created  together  with  Stephen  Wozniak  the  game  “Breakout”.  During  that  time
Wozniak  developed  a  new  computer  which  had  a  TV-connector  and  were
programmable with BASIC. Steve Jobs was so impressed by this computer that he had
the idea to found a firm to sell it. They founded the firm with the name “Apple” at 1
th

of April 1976 and sold the computer under the name “Apple I”. The seed capitals were
Steve Job’s Volkswagen Van and Wozniak’s HP scientific calculator. The “Apple I” was
the first computer which came assembled. Only a case for it was needed. During that
time Stephen Wozniak enhanced the “Apple I” and created the “Apple II”. The “Apple
II” was the beginning of the success of Apple. It was sold over two million times in ten
years.  In  1983  Steve  Jobs lure  away  John  Sculley,  who  was an  experienced Manager,
from  Pepsi.  After  a  failed  intrigue  (September  1985)  against  Sculley,  Steve  Jobs
